The idea came to me when I had to renew my motor vehicle license, and not being one to stand around waiting in queues, I decided to get the job done through one of the service providers that have people who stand in queues to process your license renewal. At the same time there was a protest march in the centre of the city and it struck me. Maybe here is the perfect opportunity for a new business. One that would not only create jobs, but also provide a protesters with the numbers they need to become much more effective. I call it "Strike for you!" and it provides various options and services to facilitate the strike/protest action and provides both individual and union, NGO and crowd services.
For a fee an individual can hire a Casual Striker or alternatively by pooling the resources of friends, family and or colleagues one or more Casual Strikers who would represent the individual(s) in the strike. Casual Strikers will be outfitted appropriately with a loud hailer and or vuvuzela to ensure the message is heard. They have all the skills to effectively participate in the strike/protest and have been trained to deliver all slogans, songs and other phrases of protest at the top of their voices. All are skilled in the latest toy-toy moves.
Another option open to individuals is the Proxy Striker. Here for a nominal monthly fee one can be represented at any strike/protest taking place or alternatively can select the type of strike/protest in which participation is required. The ultimate option extends the participation to any gathering and also provides the individual with total digital photographic coverage of the entire event.
Union, NGO and other organisations can hire a crowd to ensure there the success of their campaign. This ranges from the simple hire a crowd, in increments of 1 000 Casual Strikers with tiered discounts for amounts over 3 000 Casual Strikers. In addition to this Marshalling services are also provided to ensure the safety of all. For those organisations that wish to embark on a long running campaign we provide Casual Strikers in increments of 3 months and includes planning services for crowd distribution at strategic places to ensure maximum visibility and includes the appropriate dress, placards and other striking essentials in a single package option.
Memorandum Writing and Delivery service. One of the areas that is surely lacking in protests is the ability to provide an adequate memorandum to officials. By taking up this option a memorandum, of not less than 200+ pages, will be produced and delivered on the day of the strike or protest to the appropriate officials. The document will be worded with the appropriate audience in mind to ensure the message is driven home effectively.
